PROJECT: Pingtung Branch of TFCF
WORK: 1.To facilitate inter-cultural exchanges and encourage the children to appreciate and respect cultural differences through the sharing of folklore music, dances and stories for children. 2.To promote friendship/understanding/solidarity among school children, local people, TFCF youth volunteers and cross-national volunteers 3.To inspire TFCF youth volunteers to devote to community services and increase the international learning and participation experiences for the TFCF youth volunteers. 4.To restore the paintings or mosaic collage art on the walls of local community to return a beautiful environment to children and inhabitants, to introduce the Taiwanese traditional cultures to the international volunteers
ACCOMODATION AND FOOD: 1.Office of TFCF Pingtung branch (Sleep bag is necessary).2.There are a small kitchen; a bathroom for each gender is available (but don't expect a very modern design).

PROJECT: Ping-tung Environment-Protect Alliance (PEPA)
WORK: We will teach English and play with children in the village, work together with local residents (children ,elders ,farmers ,fishers and artists) to build eco-friendly toilet in the farm to create a eco-recycle system, to draw streets and walls of a fishing village to create a Global Street. We meant to create a public space for community through the coloring project. In the meanwhile; we will also join community environmental clean events to help cleaning beach (Taiwan straits Pacific Ocean).
ACCOMODATION AND FOOD: Provide free accommodation with simple showering facilities/home stay. Sleeping bags are required Food will be offered by local people, and the volunteers will be divided into groups to take up the cooking tasks, have a chance to cook in some cultural exchange events.
LOCATION AND LEISURE: A small fishing village in Ping\Tung County located on the southern coast of Taiwan. Excursion, exchange parties with local people, eco-tourism (optional), etc.

PROJECT: Louyoung Cultural et Educational Foundation
WORK: A) To repair Heritage House No.106. Volunteers will repair the windows, doors of the house, paint its wall and make a new big frame. The painting subject is the world (one country, one Image) so please bring some pictures or Newspaper of your own country; you will share your own country image with the community. We will make it to an international Backpackers House. B) Making a public Art. Volunteers will learn how to do the public Art.
ACCOMODATION AND FOOD: We will stay in Siluo International Volunteer House.the house is offered by Siluo township government, there are new place, the comfortable beds, the room with air conditioner, toilets, shower with hot water, with a wide yard and beautiful view. You will have a great time there. But a little inconvenience is that you have to use the kitchen in the no.81 Yenping Rd. backpacker house and will be the rest place at the break time. The distance between accommodation and worksite is 10 min by bike, everyone will have an own bike in the time. No.81 is belongs to Rotary Club of Siluo. They are welcome you too. For their kindly , we need to keep good manners (to always keep clean, no smoking inside building, etc.). We will cook by ourselves but still have opportunity to eat in the local restaurants or packed meals. Internet can be available in Louyoung Foundation office and backpacker house and Volunteer House. There is no washing machine, so let' s enjoy washing clothes by hands.
LOCATION AND LEISURE: Siluo Township, a historical place in Yun-Lin County, located in the middle of Taiwan. 50 minutes to Taichung City by bus, 2.5-3.5 hrs by bus from Taipei City.

ACCOMODATION AND FOOD: Guest house of Ma-zu Temple. Sleep in shared room with woody bed. Sleeping bag is required Showers and toilets are available. PROJECT: Sishih Community Development Association (SCDA) and Hondao Senior Citizens Welfare Foundation
WORK: Participants will work with many local young volunteers in this project. First mission is to create Sishih Village's entrance image together and to enhance the environment of the community as request. The second one is to learn, inherit and promote Sishih broom. Lastly, volunteers will serve in Sishih Community Care Station and introduce their country s songs, dances or simple handwork making to local elderly at least two times (2 hours per time) during the workcamp.
ACCOMODATION AND FOOD: Volunteers will live in shared living conditions with other volunteers at the Sishih Community Centre during this project. Please bring your sleeping bag. Cooked by vols.
LOCATION AND LEISURE: Sishih village, Fusing Township, ChuangHua County, located in the middle of Taiwan is three hours away south from Taipei. Hot in the summer. Sishih is a quiet small village at night. It is only 5 minutes drive to the most famous historic small town: Lu-Kang. If you are interested in clam hunting, seashore is 30 minutes driving distance. If you want to embrace mountain and nature, you can drive to Nan-Tou County and it takes only 1.5 hours by car.
